ADULT SOCIAL LEAGUE

Hoop Club Kapiti's next Social Basketball League starts on 19 July 2023 and will run for 10 weeks on Wednesday and Sunday evenings at Paraparaumu College Community Gym, Mazengarb Road. Men and Women of all skill levels welcome. Enter a Team or enter as an Individual and be placed in a Team. Trained Referees and Scorebench will be provided.

 

Cost:

  • Team: $550 ($150 deposit payable at time of registration with the balance to be paid by 12 July 2023)

  • Individual: $65 ($20 deposit payable at time of registration with the balance to be paid by 12 July 2023)

Please note: entry fees are usually higher. We are able to offer this discounted price for this league due to a grant received, but this is not guaranteed for future leagues.

Team Organisers are expected to gather their team's fees and make one lump sum payment for the deposit and one lump sum payment for the balance of the fees. If you are using a voucher, this cannot be used towards the deposit, it can only be used towards the balance of the fees.

Registrations are open now. All registrations must be submitted by 5pm on Wednesday 12 July 2023

Important information for teams and players:

  • All players must be at least 16 years of age or year 12 at high school. This is for health and safety reasons and to make sure the league is fun for everyone.

  • Players can only play for one team – no fill ins, swapping etc. Exceptions may be made on a case by case basis.

  • Players must have played at least 3 games for their team prior to the play offs to be eligible to play in the play offs. Exceptions may be made on a case by case basis.

  • Teams are expected to provide their own numbered playing singlets. Bibs will be provided as a last resort for a team’s first season only. If you are getting new playing tops printed up please make sure they have numbers both front and back.

  • Referees and scorebench are provided, but we are always looking for more people to get involved. Please contact Lindsay if you are interested. Training is provided and officials are paid for each game.

  • Games take place from 7.15pm on Wednesdays and 5.45pm on Sundays subject to the number of teams who enter.

  • All players are required to agree to the BBNZ Code of Conduct. We have a zero tolerance policy for violence, swearing, aggression and abuse of referees.
